What You’ll Do

Avatria is looking for an ambitious Director of Sales to join our growing team. We are excited to expand the growth of Avatria’s eCommerce product, Convert. Our product uses shopping data and machine learning to improve conversion by predicting what customers are most likely to purchase. Convert ensures site visitors see the products most relevant to them when they visit our customer’s websites.

As the Director of Sales at Avatria, you will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of product and custom solution sales opportunities by prospecting and pitching potential enterprise customers, leveraging our current customer relationships to win new business and collaborating on joint sales opportunities with Avatria’s partners. You will also drive the sales process from initial outreach to a signed contract by working closely with prospective customers to understand their unique challenges and business goals. Internally, you will own Avatria’s sales strategy and manage the existing members of the sales team.

  • Sales Strategy. In this role you will be responsible for evaluating the market to understand the pain points of our enterprise customers. With this knowledge you will develop and implement an overall sales strategy that will include details around prospecting approach, conference planning, marketing support, etc.
  • Team Management. Currently, the Avatria sales team is small and consists of one team member. You will be responsible for managing this individual and in time growing out the team.
  • Integrated Team Collaboration. As the Director of Sales, you will work hand in hand with our Product team to better understand Convert’s capabilities. This will ensure you can make the right recommendations for our customers and guarantee their satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience selling enterprise software / SaaS solutions to marketing and IT directors, VPs and C-level executives at prospective customers
  • Track record of success selling into Fortune 500 companies
  • A strong understanding of the market’s needs, pain-points, strengths, and opportunities for growth
  • Ability to learn and effectively pitch Avatria Convert to prospects – comfortable being the primary individual responsible for sales and business development activities
  • Ability to own overall sales strategy and lead the full sales cycle for Convert
  • Conduct research into target accounts and develop effective prospecting campaigns to sell into those accounts
  • Demonstrated experience nurturing long-term customer relationships and closing sales with decision makers in large organizations
  • Local to Chicago

We’d also like to see (but don’t require) hands-on experience with:

  • CRM and sales tools such as Hubspot, Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg
  • Product sales in the eCommerce and/or Digital Marketing domains
  • Fostering and managing a network of partners for a technology organization
